As I've mentioned before, I'm running behind on my blog posts! I'm doing my best to catch up, including getting my May Ipsy Review up before the new one comes in. I've already snuck in a peek and I'm looking forward to June.
1.) CoTZ Face Natural SPF 40
At first glance, I have to say that I wasn't too excited about this sunscreen, but it turned out to be one of my favorite products this month! Not only is sunscreen essential for summer, this product was tinted, so offered some additional coverage for my face unlike similar products. It's a bonus because I tend to wear less makeup over the summer. The finish is also matte, which I need. This is a product that I would pick up again if I came across it!
2.) Luxie Beauty Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205
Getting tools in the Ipsy bag may not be so exciting, but they always seem to send the perfect brushes. I have quite the collection now, and it never gets old getting a new brush. This Luxie brush is vegan, is soft to the touch, and comes has luxurious shades of rose gold (which I'm currently obsessed with) and pink.
3.) Skone Cosmetics Pretty Eyes Eyeliner in Navy
Eyeliners are one Ipsy item that I tend to get bored of, but they are essential to my makeup routine. This navy shade was a refreshing change from my typical black. It's creamy and easy to use, but smudges very easily. This is nothing special, so I probably would't buy again.
4.) St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion
As someone who already has a tan, this doesn't seem to be useful to me. But I like using products like this to cover up imperfections and such. It has a nice color and smells good too, but I haven't sampled this one yet. I plan to hold onto it for a special dressy occasion this summer!
5.) Urban Decay Lip Pencil in Ozone
I was glad to see this in my bag! Some of my lip products do tend to feather, so this will be great to pair with them. I have not been wearing a lot of lipsticks, so I still have to test this with the problem lippies! I do like how it feels when I apply it, not sticky or drying. I love Urban Decay, so I'm sure this will live up to its reputation! This came with 2 samples of gloss as well, which was nice! That purple isn't really my style, but I'm curious to see what it looks like on!
I also snagged a bonus item with my points- Clarisea SeaSalt Solutions. I love a good exfoliating scrub for my face and this one will be used.
This was one of my favorite makeup bags! I kind of need the other 2 versions as well! Here's to hoping my June bag is just as good!
