Between the gloomy weather and the long nights for work, it's great to finally have a new blog post to share. I recently stopped by H&M and tried on some new pieces that will be perfect for spring! Some of these pieces are not found online, but you should be able to get them in stores! Sorry for the quality of photos, but hopefully the reviews will be helpful and give you some new spring styling ideas!
Floral Midi Dress
There are so many great things about this dress. Floral prints are really hot right now, and this is definitely on trend. The full sleeves make it a great transition dress that can be worn into the spring. Midi length is also very elegant, but can be hit or miss depending on height. I was worried about this being too long, but I really liked the length on me; it hit mid-calf which is just where you want the midi to end! The material is also very comfy and flattering. I sized up because I am curvy and I didn't want it to be tight. This was my favorite piece and one that I'm considering going back for!
Lizard Blouse (couldn't find online)
One of my favorite types of prints involve critter. I couldn't resist trying on this full sleeved blouse with the cutest lizard print. I loved the sleeves and the slits at the sides, which helps a shirt sit properly on the hips. At less than $10, it was a steal, but I found the fit to be a little strange. The blouse is also sheer, which I don't like. I had to size up 2 sizes so I wouldn't feel constricted. This is one item that looks cuter on the hanger than worn. I recommend a try on before buying to ensure a proper fit.
Mock Neck Dancer Blouse (couldn't find online)
Now this is something that I really wanted to like. I'm loving mock neck items (which is crazy because I used to hate anything covering my neck!) I was drawn to the print; the dancers are just so adorable but the brown color is not flattering. Also, this has a bit of a cropped fit, but the material isn't flattering and the shirt rides up with any arm movement. I had to size up 2 sizes so I wouldn't feel constricted.
Lace Two Piece (skirt here on sale!)
I'm loving the look of two pieces, but never thought I could pull it off. But then I came across this adorable set and I had to try it on just for fun. The lace is beautiful and the cut is made for a more mature audience. I found this in the professional section, but couldn't see myself wearing the set to work. The best part is that they look cute together, or can be mixed and matched with other pieces! I'm trying to figure out an event to wear this to to justify getting this! I sized up one size in both pieces, again due to curves! This is definitely worth checking out.
H&M carries a trendier selection of items and these pieces are right in line for spring. Florals, whimsical prints, midi lengths, and two pieces are are great choices for the new season and are some of my picks for a chic and fashionable spring!
