December's Ipsy bag arrived this week and of course I couldn't wait to dig in and check out the goods. As usual, it was another great month. From the festive bag to the mix of products, I was thrilled with this month's selection. Let's take a closer look at what was included...
1.) Briogeo Curl Charisma Frizz Control Gel
I love when my Ipsy products are tailored for me, so I was excited to see a curl product this month. A little bit of product got rid of frizz and defined my curls without making my hair crunchy. The gel also has a pleasant scent. The best part is that this is made with cruelty free ingredients and is safe on color and chemically treated hair!
2.) Cosbellus Snow Cream Moisturizer
Moisturizers are one of those subscription box products that I always love receiving and trying out! This product was definitely a winner. This lightweight moisturizer was more like a gel and really softened my skin without leaving my face feeling greasy, which is the worst! It also make my skin brighter and I liked the light scent.
3.) Smashbox Insta Matte Lipstick Transformer
This was the item that I am most excited to try! When it comes to makeup, I definitely prefer a matte finish over shiny. That includes lipsticks, so I was definitely curious about this. After putting on cream lipstick (it can't be glosses or balms) apply a little dab of the Insta Matte Lipstick Transformer on top of the lipstick. That's it! I haven't tried this yet, but I will share on the Insta page when I do!
4.) Hikari Liquid Eyeliner in Iris
At first glance, I was not excited to see another liquid eyeliner in my bag (I prefer solid eyeliners.) But, upon closer inspection, I noticed the shade is actually a deep purple. Game changer. The deep shade is dark enough for my liking, but offers a nice pop of color without being obnoxious! I will be playing around with this!
5.) NYX Cosmetics Prismatic Eyeshadow in Bedroom Eyes
The last item in this month's bag was this NYX eyeshadow. Bedroom eyes is a gorgeous brown shade (the photo at the top captures the shade the best), but I have so many eyeshadows from Ipsy and I just don't use eyeshadow often. This will probably be shared with someone who will use it!
Overall I'm happy with this month's Ipsy selection. I immediately fell in love with the cute textured bag, which also doubles as a clutch! I will definitely be using this in the future. I'm also happy with my samples. Can't wait to see what next month brings...
