I'm guilty of skipping this week's Sunday Spotlight...I was too busy watching the Oscars! There were so many gorgeous looks, right?! I thought it would be fun to highlight some of my favorite looks from the Oscars* and share how you can incorporate these trends into your spring wardrobe!
Gold Metallics
There's always something so elegant about a gold dress! It's very reminiscent of Old Hollywood, and these dresses didn't disappoint.
Get the look style tip: Let's be serious...it's not often we have the opportunity to wear a gold gown (though one day I hope to have an excuse to wear all gold!!) One way to incorporate this look is by choosing a dress (or skirt) with gold details! I'm especially loving the embellished mini skirts!
Victorian
I am very into Victorian inspired pieces right now! I love the high necklines, lace details, and overall feminine shapes of this style.
Get the look style tip: There are so many cute blouses that can be paired with pencil skirts for work, or skinnies for a night out. I'm partial to the dresses, so I also included some options that would be great for cocktail parties!
Black + White
White was a popular color choice, but I especially loved the dresses with a hint of black. Black and white is such a classic combo and you just can't go wrong with it!
Get the look style tip: It's hard to mess up a black and white outfit, but I would add a pop of color with the baubles, accessories, or makeup! I personally love jewel tones, like fuschia or royal blue!
Pastel
I always associate pastels with spring, and of course there were a few pastel stunners on the Red Carpet.
Get the look style tip: I love pairing a pastel shade with a hue 2 shades darker. It's gives the outfit a nice contrast and may even create somewhat of an ombre effect!
Lace is another classic that you can't go wrong with. It's always in style and easy to incorporate into an everyday look!
Get the look style tip: It's not hard to find a lace dress. But my favorite way to incorporate lace right now is pairing a lace skirt with a cami and a moto or denim jacket! Adds a little edge!

This is such a fun post! I love seeing what everyone wore to the Oscars! I'm all about the gold metallic, but I think the pastels will soon win over with the sunshine coming out again.
