Sadly the cold has finally settled in and it's time to stock up on outwear.  One piece that transitions well into the winter is a bomber jacket.  I got my first bomber jacket last year and it's quickly become one of my favorite outerwear pieces.  When I came across this velvet bomber, I knew it had to be mine.  Velvet is one of my favorite fabrics for the winter and this refreshing mauve color is different from anything else I own.

I was drawn to the sporty striped detail on the jacket, and wanted to keep the rest of the outfit muted so let the pink pop.  I paired with black denim and a simple gray tank, and of course my favorite booties of the season (also velvet!)

One more note about velvet.  To be honest, I always liked velvet, and I've been watching some of my favorite 90s shows (Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Step By Step) and they seemed to enjoy velvet back then as well!

Finally a quick note about the sunnies.  I loved the shape of the lenses so I had to give them a go.  They are a great statement piece, come in 4 color options, and are under $20!  Definitely worth adding to your collection.
