Earlier this month, I was invited to preview the 2019 Philly Flower show (read the preview post here) and I loved it enough that I had to go back for a proper visit. This was my fourth Flower Show and while the show floor seemed smaller than in previous years, I was blown away by the creative displays. There were 2 attractions that really captured my attention - the Flower Power theme and the FTD "World Cup" competition.
The main Flower Power displays were some of my favorites. The colors were so vibrant and the displays captured the magic of the era!
Walking around, I found gems like this fun wall as well!
Something I learned is that every display in the show is part of a competition. There was quite a variety of work created by students using plants in different formats. Hats, jewelry, pressed flower art; so many creative things. I especially enjoyed these hats - which one would you wear?
A few more pieces that caught my eye. This honey comb had actual honeybees!
And here are two of my favorite displays from the "World Cup" competition!
But of course I went to see the flowers and I was not disappointed. I always look forward to seeing the tulips, and I have a special spot in my heart for orange flowers.
Have I mentioned all the fun walls scattered throughout the show. These were some of my favorite Instaworthy spots (and believe me, there were many!)
The show may be over, but I'm already excited to find out what next year's theme will be! Did you attend the Flower Show this year? What exhibits did you love?
